Accolade Estate Wetlands Update

The 50,000 m2 parcel of land on the corner of Leakes Road and Nash Boulevard has been transformed into the Accolade Wetlands. The wetlands has a cricket theme throughout with wickets incorporated into the viewing platforms and a cricket ball shaped fitness station. The cricket theme complements the street names within the estate which have been named after famous cricket players.

The wetlands will provide residents a place for rest and recreation and a sanctuary for local birds and plant life.

The dry stone wall around the perimeter honours the heritage of the area and has been crafted by stone from the existing site and built by dry wall specialists.

The area showcases a range of indigenous trees and shrubs supported by terrestrial planting.

The wetlands is due to open soon to the public in the coming months.
