Monument Park Opening Triumph: A Community Celebration with 300 Attendees

Monument Park was officially opened on Saturday 11th November by Deputy Mayor CR Steve Abboushi symbolising the beginning of a new family community at Monument Estate.

With almost every lot on the 550 home estate now sold Resi Ventures was thrilled to open the $1.8 million park to the community.

The park features two towering climbing frames shaped like rockets and reaching more than 11m high.

The 1 hectare park space is an extension of the backyard for those who live within Monument but also as an important neighbourhood park for the wider community.

The day was a resounding success, with 300 delighted attendees basking in the lively ambiance, enjoying live music, indulging in delicious crepes and coffee, and witnessing the joyous face-painting sessions for kids.

Khurram Saeed, co-founder of Resi Ventures said “I’m so happy to see so many members of our community here today taking advantage of the park’s amenities and the afternoon activities.”

The intergenerational park has been designed to cater for all ages and skill ranges from teens to toddlers the park provides a comfortable setting for carers too enjoy the surrounds while the children play for hours.

Wheelchair suitable furniture, picnic tables, BBQ and drinking fountains have been provided ensuring equality across amenities is maintained.

An active fitness node provides skate elements, a basketball half court, downball and soccer goals to allow for social recreation and gathering.  This section provides an area where a range of age groups and levels of ability can occupy and enjoy.

The event not only marked the beginning of a new chapter for the park but also showcased the power of community coming together in celebration.
