Construction Officially Underway at McMahon’s Place, Echuca

This week marked an exciting milestone for Resi Ventures as we officially commenced construction at with a special sod turning ceremony.

We were joined by The Hon. Peter Walsh, Member for Murray Plains, Campaspe Shire Mayor Daniel Mackrell, the McMahon family, our civil contractor Northern Constructions Group, project marketers Oliver Hume Real Estate, builder representatives and key project partners to celebrate the start of a new chapter for Echuca West.

McMahon’s Place is set to transform more than 100 hectares of former farmland into a thriving master planned community, delivering over 1,000 new homes and creating a vibrant neighbourhood for families, downsizers, and future generations.

The Economic and Community Impact

McMahon’s Place isn’t just about new homes — it’s about growth, opportunity, and community. The project is expected to:
✅ Increase Echuca’s housing stock by more than 10%
✅ Support nearly 5,000 jobs across construction, trades, and local services
✅ Inject $1.6 billion into the regional economy
