The Land Monkeys Variety Bash Team Hits a Major Milestone: $1 Million Raised for Charity

The Land Monkeys team, comprised of Resi Ventures co-founder Anthony Braunthal and industry colleagues Andre Collette, Harvey Carretero, and Cameron Yates, have truly made a mark this year at the 2024 Variety Vic Bash. They navigated through dust, pot holes, corrugations and muddy roads from Swan Hill to Airlie Beach in a 1960s Holden, bringing their energy, enthusiasm, and a spirit of generosity as they met and connected with communities along the way.

A Bash to Remember

The Variety Vic Bash is always a highlight on the calendar. With hundreds of people participating, sharing camaraderie, fun, and, most importantly, fundraising for kids as they complete  an unforgettable journey as over 100 vehicles set out in convoy.

And what a successful Bash it was!

“Participating in this year’s Variety Vic Bash has been an incredible experience. It’s amazing to see so many people come together with such passion to support a great cause. This year’s event was not just about the journey from Swan Hill to Airlie Beach, but about the difference we made along the way,” said Anthony.

Achievements Worth Celebrating

The Land Monkeys team, car 3006, was awarded the Martin Stone Award for the highest fundraiser for 2024. This prestigious accolade is a testament to the team’s dedication and the unwavering support of Variety, the Children’s Charity Victoria. But the accolades didn’t stop there. The Land Monkeys have joined the exclusive 1 Million Dollars Raised Legends Club of the Variety Vic Bash. This honour puts them in esteemed company alongside Sheen Panel Service, Car 44 Gary Caddy, and the iconic Sesame Street bus 17. What makes this extra special is that the Land Monkeys have done this in record time having only taken 5 years to reach this milestone.

And let’s not forget the big picture: Variety Vic Bash 2024 raised an impressive $1.6 million overall. The funds will go a long way toward helping children in need across Victoria that are severely disadvantaged due to health and poverty.

A Big Thank you

The Land Monkeys team extends their heartfelt congratulations to all the participants, officials, and mobile workshops who contributed to making Variety Bash 2024 such an incredible success.

A special thank you goes out to all our valued sponsors. Your generous donations made it possible to achieve this fantastic result to support sick and disadvantaged children.

Looking ahead to 2025

As they celebrate this year’s success, the Land Monkeys team is already looking forward to what 2025 will bring. As they set their sights on Darwin, they’re gearing up for even more excitement and fundraising efforts. They can’t wait to see what next year has in store and are committed to making an even greater impact.
