Variety Celebrates 50 Years – And the Land Monkeys Are Back for More!

In 2025, Variety – the Children’s Charity celebrates an incredible 50 years of changing lives and supporting kids in need across Australia. This milestone marks half a century of community-driven impact, and there’s no better way to honour that legacy than by spotlighting one of its most spirited contributors — The Land Monkey team!

Led by Harvey Carretero from Oliver Hume Real Estate, with Resi Ventures’ very own Director, Anthony Braunthal, once again part of the crew, The Land Monkeys are revving up for another unforgettable journey in this year’s Variety Bash. From Hamilton to Darwin over 10 days, they’ll tackle rough outback tracks, quirky roadside stops, and plenty of dust — all in the name of raising vital funds for children who are sick, disadvantaged or living with disability.

But their commitment doesn’t stop at the Bash. Earlier this year, the Land Monkeys, on behalf of Variety, teamed up with Andre Collette from My Pod — a fellow Land Monkeys member — to build a much-needed counselling office at Morwell Central Primary School, completely free of charge. This new space provides students with access to support, wellbeing programs, and a safe environment to receive the care they deserve.

It’s grassroots projects like these — built with heart, sweat, and a whole lot of generosity — that show the true power of community. We’re incredibly proud to support The Land Monkeys and their ongoing work with Variety.
